Dennis Busenitz - Pro Skater

by diggs, June.03.2009

I jacked this Dennis Busenitz video from quartersnacks.com, they're a blog that posts moments of skate brilliance on an irregular basis. They're a bunch of cocky bastards that will probably diss Chunnel by saying that we're trying to steal their culture because we don't skate blah blah blah.... Mind you they'll say this after spending 20+ minutes cruising through some of the dope videos on our site.

About the video in their own words:

"In this website’s annual acknowledgment of skateboarding’s existence on a professional level (remember, I reviewed the Death Wish video last year), I have decided to pay homage to one of the world’s greatest people (no, not The Muska, although he’s up there), Dennis Busenitz, who coincidentally just released (or should I say, an illicit Youtube bandit released) the best video part of 2009.

His entire part seems like it was on a hill and had maybe three pushes in it. I also noticed that it tends to extend tricks on ledges that run over gaps well beyond the constraints provided by the given gap. It also has the best Kalis 360 flip of the year, and it was not actually done by Kalis. And I have never been to the train station in Barcelona, but I get the feeling that no matter how much I try to assume that “oh, maybe those benches aren’t that high since people skate the tops of them from flat,” the ollie at the end seems like it probably took a bit of effort. Also, who the hell decided that building an entire hill composed out of philly steps leading into a granite wedged bank was going to be a good idea in the pedestrian sense? Why don’t we get these retarded architects/planners instead of these assholes who think turning Seventh Avenue into a two lane street is a good idea."
