I never got into parkour, I think the extreeme sports market was just a little saturated when this stuff started popping up all over the internet. But I can definitely get into this animation (does anyone know what this style of animation is called? I feel like it should have it's own name).

"Illustrated with technical pen, frame by frame. I admit it might not be the best, or the quality isn't perfect, just a shot at animating the old flip book whatever-you-call-it way. =D"

Remembering the Brooklyn Banks http://chunnel.tv/street/1645/remembering-the-brooklyn-banks/

The area under the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge, the "Brooklyn Banks" is easily one of the most legendary skate spots in the world, and next Friday it's getting shut down. The city says it will re-open in 2014, but considering how the city has handled the Banks in the past I wouldn't count on it. The city clearly doesn't understand how significant a landmark those bricks have become, this is a really sad day for skateboarding.

Here's Mike Vallely with a run down of the spots history.

Five Muppet Gingerbread Men sing "Sweet Gingerbread Man" as the opening number in episode 201 of The Muppet Show.

The lead singer was performed by Frank Oz, while the other four Gingerbread Men were performed by Jim Henson, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, and Dave Goelz.

This was Oz's only lead singing appearance on The Muppet Show as a one-off character.

We Continue in the Old Style from John Rory Fraser on Vimeo.

A visit to Paul's Hat Works in the Richmond district of San Francisco. Paul's is a 90-year-old men's hatter, now under the ownership of four young women. The film explores their position as women at the heart of a traditionally male-dominated business, as well as their dedication to quality, handmade goods.

Mike Carroll Does It Real Slow http://chunnel.tv/street/1611/mike-carroll-does-it-real-slow/

Legendary street skater Mike Carroll does a kick flip, editors take the footage and slow it down super-screwed style. Sounds like nothing special, right? You'll be pleasantly surprised, because the end result will make your head spin. Props to Lakai Footwear for the fly spot.

Terry Richardson Toy @ Colette http://chunnel.tv/street/1603/terry-richardson-toy-colette/
Ooh, Colette has started selling the official Terry Richardson action figure, just in time for the holiday season. The Terry Toy is a collaboration between Unkle York and Tokyo Element. The toys resemblance to the iconic photographer is uncanny, they've even got him "holding a very strategically placed camera!". If you have an extra $200 lying around, then I suggest you purchase one of these for that special someone.

via Highsnobriety
diggs Mon, 07 Dec 2009 15:08:22 +0100 The (Lego) Matrix http://chunnel.tv/street/1591/the-lego-matrix/

The Matrix has to be one of the most spoofed movies on the internet, this scene in particular has been done to death, but this is the first I've seen it in Lego, and I'm a big fan of Lego animation, so give it a chance.
