Scott Pilgrim vs The World Video Game http://chunnel.tv/street/1666/scott-pilgrim-vs-the-world-video-game/
So if none of you are familiar with Scott Pilgrim, it is a comic book by brian lee o' malley. I'm not gonna spoil anything for you. You can either watch the trailer or read it yourself.

This post isn't about the comic book or the movie though but about the game itself. Two of my favorite people have gotten together to share some of their super powers for this game. Anamanaguchi who announced earlier in this years very first PAX east, that they're recording the soundtrack for the game and while watching their light show, i couldn't help but notice a familiar art style and animation to the character sprites. I later found out that it was none other than Paul Robertson who supplied sprites and animations for the game.

ohhh man. it's gonna be awesome. it's going to be a brawler type game like river city ransom or streets of rage. remember those?

hermes@chunnel.tv Wed, 31 Mar 2010 15:04:20 +0100 Parkour Motion Reel http://chunnel.tv/street/1649/parkour-motion-reel/

I never got into parkour, I think the extreeme sports market was just a little saturated when this stuff started popping up all over the internet. But I can definitely get into this animation (does anyone know what this style of animation is called? I feel like it should have it's own name).

"Illustrated with technical pen, frame by frame. I admit it might not be the best, or the quality isn't perfect, just a shot at animating the old flip book whatever-you-call-it way. =D"

Remembering the Brooklyn Banks http://chunnel.tv/street/1645/remembering-the-brooklyn-banks/

The area under the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge, the "Brooklyn Banks" is easily one of the most legendary skate spots in the world, and next Friday it's getting shut down. The city says it will re-open in 2014, but considering how the city has handled the Banks in the past I wouldn't count on it. The city clearly doesn't understand how significant a landmark those bricks have become, this is a really sad day for skateboarding.

Here's Mike Vallely with a run down of the spots history.
