Nike is really killin' it with these Kobe/Lebron Christmas commercials. A rappin' Blitzen (played by Lupe Fiasco) talks mega trash to Kobe, Lebron, and Santa (played by rap legend KRS One). Ha, so clever, KRS as Kris Kringle.

Orangina Red & Bloody http://chunnel.tv/commercial/1623/orangina-red-bloody/

There's nothing sexier than a raspy voice Black Panther dominatrix with breast implants whipping an overweight bald guy. I wonder if Dr. 90210 from the E Channel hooked her up with those boobies for free, or maybe Orangina paid for them prior to shooting.

Follow the White Rabbit http://chunnel.tv/commercial/1606/follow-the-white-rabbit/

No, you weren't tripping, or maybe you were, but you weren't hallucinating the White Rabbit you saw running all throughout the city last week. The White Rabbit in question, was actually part of an elaborate marketing scheme created by the Minneapolis based advertising agency Fallon. Syfy hired the agency to create the launch campaign for their 4-hour movie premier of Alice.

" On Friday, December 4, keep your head up around the streets of NY―or near historic landmarks such as the Empire State Building and Times Square; you just might meet a White Rabbit in business attire. Please don’t panic. You haven’t fallen down the rabbit hole!
Instead, you have entered a Wonderland of innovative multimedia marketing, created by Syfy and Fallon, promoting the four-hour movie event, Alice, premiering Sunday, December 6, at 9 PM (ET/PT), and starring Academy Award-winner Kathy Bates (Misery) as the Queen of Hearts and Caterina Scorsone (Crash television series) as Alice.
Rocky Novak, Group Media Director at Fallon, touches on how Fallon took a story filled with iconography and landed on the White Rabbit as the focus for this unique execution: “As we researched consumers’ connection to the original story of Alice in Wonderland, we found the most frequently recalled icon was the White Rabbit. Given that Syfy had re-imagined this classic character in every way, we knew it was the right place to start. From there, our goal was simple―to be as imaginative and immersive with our marketing campaign as Syfy had been with the series itself.”
The experience started on the Web November 30, the week before the premiere. Twitter users are urged to “Follow the White Rabbit @WhiteRabbitinc”―a specially created Twitter account that provides updates throughout the week as the White Rabbit pursues Alice and the Hatter.
Starting on December 4, online banners that feature the White Rabbit causing mischief on popular Web sites―such as USAToday.com (12/4) and YouTube (12/6)―urge users to follow the White Rabbit by clicking on the ad unit. This sends users through a trail of Web sites, each grounded in themes from Syfy’s Alice reimagination, like the Wonderland Tea Shop and the Happy Hearts Casino, before finally landing at the Alice show page on Syfy.com. After December 1, users can also access the site trail directly through http://thewhiterabbitinc.com/
The experience culminates in New York on Friday, December 4, as 50 White Rabbits will hunt across the city for Alice and the Hatter, handing out Alice playing cards displaying their faces and containing the text, "Have you seen this pair?” At 12:30 PM, White Rabbits will converge on Union Square, where they hope to finally meet Alice and the Hatter and perform a choreographed “step” dance routine.
Said Blake Callaway, Vice President, Brand Marketing, Syfy: “Classic tales retold with a twist are uniquely Syfy. We want to create a new memory of Alice in Wonderland just as we did so successfully with Tin Man and Frank L. Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. By tapping into pop music, literature, and even a white rabbit on the run to make the connections to our Alice, the marketing campaign for Alice highlights the familiar icons associated with Wonderland and gives them a contemporary spin. This major television event provides a fitting conclusion to what has been an extraordinary year.”

Polar Bears by Planet Stupid http://chunnel.tv/commercial/1600/polar-bears-by-planet-stupid/

Polar bears only look cute in two ways, A) at a distance, and B) in stuffed animal form. This spot did a good job at giving me anxiety. I often wake up in a cold-sweat, from environmental-nightmares very similar to this commercial. My sub-conscious must have a thing for saving the planet. Planet Stupid got their point across with this "not so subtle" PSA.

"We have a problem. We're flying too much, and it's changing the earth's climate. Aviation is the fastest growing cause of climate change. But instead of doing anything about it, the Government is planning more flights and larger airports."

Staydrenched has turned to The Clever Hamsters to get the word out about their bottles of water, and I would guess it's going to work because I read on the Staydrenched website that they are "the world's greatest jazz band". If you can't get enough of these little guys head over to the site to check out the auditions.

NZ Book Council - Going West http://chunnel.tv/commercial/1581/nz-book-council-going-west/

From Creative Review:

"Colenso BBDO commissioned Andersen M Studio to create the stop-frame animation, which took around eight months to complete. The film was designed and animated by the studio's Line Andersen (one of CR's Creative Futures from 2006) and photographed by her brother, Martin, who set up Andersen M Studio in 2000."

"The entire film is handmade, using only 10A scalpel blades and paper," explains Martin Andersen. "It was photographed on two SLR cameras and lit using Dedo lights."

Le Recyclage De Luxe Show http://chunnel.tv/commercial/1578/le-recyclage-de-luxe-show/
Set in the 1960's, and hosted by the handsome Alain du Monde, Le Recyclage de Luxe Show is a campy parody of mod french TV with an environmental twist. As one can tell from the shameless plugs, Stella Artois footed the bill for the clever web series. The videos feature 60's style advertising, musical guests, and random strangeness.

Le Recyclage de Luxe Show:Live from 1963. Welcome to the first eco-chic show on Le Toube. Join host Alain du Monde as he declares his love for Mother Nature and welcomes a gaggle of chic guests who also live green. A really fashionable, flattering shade of green.

Utopia:Alains heart is heavy. He is worried. What will 1994 look like if we dont start treating Mother Nature right? In Utopia Alain du Monde and Mini-Alain tell us how we can make the future beautiful.

Si Bourg:Alain du Monde meets the 60 Million-Franc Man. It looks like skies the limit for Jeremyville, he's now doing commercials for French Energy. Most of us caught wind of Jeremyville through the whole limited edition vinyl toy/Kid Robot scene. Since then the Australian born artist/designer/animator has landed some pretty hefty clients such as Coca Cola, Diesel, and MTV, and has even had a group show @ Colette with big willys like KAWS, Fafi, Futura, Mike Mills and Takashi Murakami.
