Wow, talk about turning lemons into lemonade, and really awesome edge of your seat lemonade at that.
I saw this trailer a few months ago, and the link has been sitting in my "to post" folder for awhile, but I was just tipped off to the fact that the The National Flim Board of Canada has posted the entire film online, making this post a lot easier. So throw a bookmark on this page, and check out the full feature when you get a chance as it is well worth it.
"Murray Siple's feature-length documentary follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with the extreme sport of racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver. This subculture depicts street life as much more than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media. The film takes a deep look into the lives of the men who race carts, the adversity they face and the appeal of cart racing despite the risk."
