Paul Robertson Pixel Artist

by Hermes, December.17.2008

Paul Robertson was the man responsible for Kings of Power 4 Billion Percent. His style of recreating a video game look and feel is very reminiscent of the old super nintendo graphics jumping from 8bit art to 16bit. The way his characters move is almost like the arcade game series called Metal Slug because of how exaggerated they move and how bloody it can be and still remain cutesy. He also draws from Anime when it comes to illustrating and designing his characters which appeals to a lot of gamers and anime fans.

He's also done work by creating music videos for artists such as Architecture In Helsinki and Qua. He was even approached to do a Cadbury commercial that deals with buying more Cadbury chocolates to win in life. Man, if you can score how many times I've bought Cheese Doodle Puffs in my life, I'd probably hold a pretty sweet record.

I'm a huge fan of Paul Robertson and I'm glad he does what he does and I'm very jealous of the fact that he's so damn good at it too. Now if only he could join forces with chiptune artists to make really awesome music videos.

Please check out his blog. His work is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
